Preface

Recent progresses of trapping, cooling, manipulating, and also transporting antiprotons and positrons, allow the start of antimatter plasma physics as well as fundamental physics applying these new techniques. The present workshop is organized intending to provide an occasion for scientists in the related fields to gather together, to exchange ideas, and to brain-storm new research subjects. The fields to be covered are fundamental physics such as the CPT symmetry, nuclear structure studies, atomic collisions, and atomic physics including antihydrogen as well as non-neutral plasma physics of antimatter.

Venue

Naha is the capital of Okinawa Prefecture, some 1500km southwest from Tokyo in the western Pacific Ocean at the eastern limit of the East China Sea. The weather is subtropical with warm winters and hot summers. An official web site of Okinawa Prefecture can be found at   http://www.ocvb.or.jp/index

Travel

Workshop site locates 10 min. from Asahibashi Station, the 5th station from the Naha Airport by the Monorail. There is a direct connection to KANSAI  International Airport which is one of the International Airports of Japan. A block of rooms were reserved at Harborview hotel Okinawa, Route Inn Naha Izumizaki Hotel, and Rainbou hotel Okinawa. You may register via ......
