Application procedures for the position of RIKEN Hakubi Fellows Program

1. First register yourself through the website noted below.
Deadline: June 15 (Friday), 2018 (Japan Standard Time)

After you have registered online, you will automatically be sent an email with your user ID, registration number, and password.

2. Go to the website indicated in the email and upload your application documents. Later you may revise your basic information and upload revised documents, if necessary.
Deadline: 15:00, June 29 (Friday), 2018 (Japan Standard Time)
All documents must be written in English.

Application form & documents:
1: Research Proposal (Form 1 PDF/Word)
2: List of publications, presentations, and achievements (Form 2 PDF/Word)
3: Outline of most important achievements (Form 3 PDF/Word)
4: Copies of representative papers (maximum of 5 papers)
5: Recommendation letter (Three)


- All files must first be converted to PDF format before you can upload them. Word files cannot be uploaded.
- Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
- Regardless of the circumstances, documents will not be returned.
- A recommendation letter request will be sent to all the referrers when you register. The deadline for the recommendation letter is the same as the deadline to submit your application (June 29). Earlier registration is advised so that your referrers have enough time to prepare your recommendation letters. You can check on the status of your recommendation letter through the online application system.
