Research Field

In this laboratory, we develop molecular dynamics (MD) simulation methods and software for using supercomputer K and other high performance infrastructures. In our software, which is called as GENESIS, multi-scale molecular models and enhanced conformational sampling methods are able to use with highly parallelized computational schemes. We intend to perform large-scale MD simulations of biomolecules for cutting-edge computational studies of life science and drug discovery.

Job title and Job description

Postdoctoral Researcher or research scientist, one person.
Development of coarse-grained models and simulation methods in molecular dynamics simulation software GENESIS. After the development, large-scale biomolecular simulations using the methods will be performed.

The candidate should possess a doctoral degree by theoretical or computational study in theoretical chemistry, computational chemistry, or theoretical biophysics. The candidate who will be able to obtain a doctoral degree in the above research fields before the work start date is able to apply the position. Those who have the backgrounds of physical chemistry, structural biology, computational physics, or basic physics and have strong motivations to start biomacromolecular simulations are welcome to apply the position.
