By adopting an NiO/CNT (carbon nanotube), which is prepared by incorporating uniform nanoporous NiO with a diameter of around 200 nm into carbon nanotubes as the cathode, they successfully decomposed and removed Li2CO3 during the charging process and improved the cycling performance in comparison with that from NiO-free carbon nanotube cathodes.
