Distinguished University Professor Rita Colwell of the University of Maryland at College Park has submitted a set of recommendations to RIKEN from the 8th RIKEN Advisory Council (RAC), a panel of international and Japanese experts who met in Tokyo on October 25 to 28, 2011 under her leadership to evaluate RIKEN's activities and make proposals to the president for future activities.
