Viruses discovered on RIKEN software mirroring site

On June 27, it was discovered that a number of freeware and shareware software programs distributed through RIKEN’s software mirroring site were infected with viruses. The programs in question were deleted along with the directory. There was no illegal access or leak of information from our server. For more information, please see the mirroring site (http://ftp.riken.jp). If you have downloaded software from this site, please make sure that none of the files contain viruses. We apologize for this incident, and will take measures to prevent any recurrence.
