System software for the post-K supercomputer has been developed:

  1. Light-Weight Microkernel for the next generation many-core CPUs
    • Providing efficient memory and device management so that resource contention and data movement are minimized
    • Eliminating OS noises by isolating OS service activities and application jobs
    • Providing Linux APIs for application portability
  2. Low Level Communication Layer
    • Providing an efficient portable low level communication to implement communication and file I/O middleware
  3. File 1/0
    • Providing middleware for efficient Big Data processing
