Genetically engineered mice (GEM) are one essential tool in modern biomedical research. The major mission of the Genetic Engineering Team is to promote technical advancement of the generation of GEM models that are widely useful for biomedical research. Using expertise and knowledge gained through these developmental research, our team closely collaborate with Animal Resource Development Unit to provide support in the generation of GEMs for research labs in RIKEN institutes and centers, as well as those in Japan and throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
