Omics technologies allow for the detection of key drivers of diseases by systematic and high-throughput analyses of biological molecules. In particular, the advent of next-generation sequencing has revolutionized our understanding of human biology. In our research unit, we apply these omics technologies to rare or familial diseases. We aim to understand basic mechanisms of diseases and to develop innovative therapies and diagnostics.
