In radiotherapy to treat cancer, it is essential to accurately adjust irradiation position and dose in advance to avoid irradiation of healthy tissue as much as possible. Because 3D gel dosimeters can be made with materials and in a size compatible with the human body, and the irradiated part does not depend on the direction of radiation but responds to the radiation dose, we consider these dosimeters to be useful for evaluating and validating treatment strategies in a precise manner. We will proceed to develop novel 3D gel dosimeters with the objective to design a product for practical application.
