The group conducts R&D on accelerator components, beam handling technology and insertion devices for achieving ultimate performance of SASE FEL. The group also carries out R&D on Seeded FEL that generates ideal brilliant X-rays having spatial and temporal coherence. Since SACLA is particularly characterized by multi-XFEL beam line operations, the group are making elaborate efforts to develop pulse-by-pulse beam control technologies including stable and fast beam switching, precise RF parameter control, and virtual accelerator-based operation system, etc..
