Research Areas

Quality and efficacy of the research are greatly dependent on how easily mutant mice are handled. The major aim of this laboratory is to develop mutant mice useful for researches in Developmental Biology and Regenerative Medicinebyin collaboration with researchers not only in CDB but also in Japan and Asian. With the sequence information on genes from researchers, the construction of vectors, ES culture, isolation of homologous recombinants, production of chimera as well as generation of transgenic miceare all being done speedily by this laboratory. Special focus is in development of mutant mice, embry oculture and microscopic techniques for bioimaging in mouse embryos.

Research Subject

  1. Generation of mouse mutants useful for developmental biology and regenerative medicine
  2. Development of mutant mice and techniques for bioimaging in mouse embryos
  3. Development of technology to manipulate mouse embryos genetically and embryologically
