Nishina Center for Accelerator-Based Science
| Nishina Center for Accelerator-Based Science was established on April 1, 2006. It promotes international cooperation in the use of its next- generation heavy ion accelerator facility, RI (radioactive isotope) Beam Factory, far exceeding current conventional performance standards in the creation and measurement of the types and intensities of RI beams generated from all elements from hydrogen to uranium. The center studies the true nature and composition of nuclei and the mystery of how matter is created. The center also promotes the application of the fruits of research into elementary particles and nuclei to agriculture, medicine and other industrial fields. | ![]() Director Hideto EN'YO (D.Sci.) |
