The RIKEN SNS (https://sns.riken.jp/) is a social networking service for current and former RIKEN staff.

When you register a RIKEN SNS account (free), you can create your own exclusive page, read and post comments on journals etc. that have been published within the SNS, as well as post opinions and exchange information within the communities that you are interested in.

You can choose to display the menus in either English or Japanese, and depending on the settings of the computer you are using, you can post content in either language too.
Also you can create communities for each research center, lab, team, unit etc., or for a club or for your own individual interests.

Please feel free to make use of it as a communication tool.

Eligible users
Anyone who is currently working at RIKEN or who has worked at RIKEN in the past (those whose application information allows the Personnel Division to verify a past work history at RIKEN, including Student Trainees, Research Fellows, and agency staff.) However, contract staff who do not fall under the authority of the Personnel Division may not use the RIKEN SNS.

How to join the RIKEN SNS if you are currently working at RIKEN:
Anyone who is currently using an @riken.jp email address can register at any time via the URL below.

How to join the RIKEN SNS if you no longer work at RIKEN:
Please request a RIKEN alumni email address. Once you have your alumni email address, you can register to use the RIKEN SNS.
