Our focus is on basic research for nano technology, taking advantage of the breadth of scope of RIKEN.
Following four teams are cooperating on interdisciplinary research and development of fundamental technologies that are of potential impact to variety of fields.
(1) Electronic Functions at Nano-scale Research Team; developmemt and controll of elctronic properites in nanostructured materials (2) Nano-Functional Photonics Team; developmemt and controll of novel nano-scale optical properties via photon-nanostructure interaction (3) functional Nano-Spin Research Team; development of electron and nuclear spin properties in nanostructures (4) Nano Bio-Functional Molecular Systems Team; eluciation of biomoleucle induced unique behaviors at the nano-scale and development of novel properties exploiting such behaviors  |
