Laboratory Head: Thomas John McHugh (Ph.D.)
Research Summary

The aim of the Career Development Program (CDP) is to give ambitious researchers with demonstrated ability the chance to develop into independent principal investigators who can go on to start their own laboratories at universities or institutions outside RIKEN. Selected researchers are promoted to senior research scientists (CDP Young Chief Investigators) and are expected to complete work-in-progress and prepare for independent activities as a PI through mentoring systems and teaching experiences provided by CDP.
