Director: Yasunobu Nakamura (Ph.D.)

Research Summary

Yasunobu Nakamura (Ph.D.)

The RIKEN RQC-FUJITSU Collaboration Center, which was established on April 1, 2021, will integrate RIKEN's advanced quantum computer technology using superconducting circuits with FUJITSU's computing technology and applied knowledge of quantum technology applications based on customer perspectives to jointly conduct research and development toward the practical application of superconducting quantum computers. Specifically, we will develop hardware and software technologies that will enable large-scale computing of up to 1,000 qubits, as well as research and development of applications using actual devices. Our goal is to develop fundamental technologies for the realization of error-tolerant superconducting quantum computers that will contribute to the solution of difficult-to-solve social problems by comprehensively and efficiently promoting research in each technology layer.
