Yoshinori  Yanagisawa(Ph.D.)

High magnetic field NMR is a strong tool for analyzing structure of various substances for developing new medicines and materials. Performance of NMR increases with a magnetic field. The key technology to obtain an ultra-high magnetic field is high temperature superconductor (HTS). We make advanced research on HTS wire, coil and joint to develop a world highest magnetic field 1.3GHz (30.5 Tesla) NMR magnet. The magnet will be operated in “persistent current mode” without external current supply, which is the ultimate operation mode of a magnet.
