Research Interests

I have two main interests; bionanotechnology and aging. In the former we are investigating the power of biological molecules to self assemble into designed, functional nano-sytems that may have a wide range of uses. In the latter I am interested in understanding why aging occurs, how this leads to disease and ways in which its adverse effects can be ameliorated (see here for detailed information on lab projects)

Other Interests

I am interested in the grand challenge of learning Japanese and also developing tools to make the task easier for others. I am also becoming interested in mathematics and its application to biological problems.
