The workshop has finished. We are grateful to all the participants and our members of Kawai theory group. Thanks to the speakers, presentation files are now available for all talks.

Venue: Okochi Hall in RIKEN
Note: The hall is inside the Laser Research Lab. Bld. (No. 16 in the MAP)
Aim: Recently, noncritical string theories and two-dimensional gravity have been reviving due to some recent progress on Liouville field theory and matrix models. Especially, we saw such new progress on non-perturbative effects of two-dimensional gravity such as ZZ- and FZZT- branes. In this workshop/symposium, we call the `Experts' on both fields from various places in the world and would like to sort and present the results, unsolved problems, and some prospects on the fields and beyond. We also aim to solve or discuss to solve such interesting problems in this workshop/symposium.
