Seventeen RIKEN scientists chosen as Highly Cited Researchers

This year, more than 6,000 scientists from around the world were chosen by Clarivate Analytics as Highly Cited Researchers in 22 different fields, based on their publications over the past decade or more. Japan’s share this year was 91, of which 17 were from RIKEN. They are Yoshihiro Iwasa and Ryotaro Arita for their work in the cross-field area, Kenya Honda and Koji Atarashi, who were chosen for their work in immunology, Yoshinori Tokura, Naoto Nagaosa, and Franco Nori for their work in physics, Kazuki Saito, Kazuo Shinozaki, Ken Shirasu, Motoaki Seki, Mitsunori Seo, Lam-Son Phan Tran, Hitoshi Sakakibara, Mikiko Kojima, and Yuji Kamiya, for their work in animal and plant science, and Susumu Tonegawa for his work in neuroscience and behavior.
