Medal of Honor with Purple Ribbon awarded to Takuzo Aida

On November 2, the Japanese government announced that it will award the Medal of Honor with Purple Ribbon to Dr. Takuzo Aida for his considerable contribution to macro and supra molecular chemistry, particularly in establishing a large number of new devices for creating functional nano-materials, and for his work in finding solutions to the diverse issues of energy, biological resources, and the environment.
