研究概要
人間、動物、その他生物は、生涯を通じて自律的に学習し、周囲の環境に素早く適応する能力を持っていますが、AIにはそのような能力がありません。私たちは、このような生物の学習とAIの学習のギャップを埋めることを目指しています。私たちは、近似推論、ベイズ統計、連続最適化、情報幾何学などの分野を専門とする機械学習研究者です。特に教師あり学習、継続学習、能動学習、連合学習、オンライン学習、強化学習など様々な学習問題に取り組んでいます。現在は、コンピュータが生涯を通じて自律的に知覚・行動・根拠を学習できるようにするアルゴリズムの開発を行っています。
