From Narita Airport to Wako-shi Station

Keisei Skyliner / Keisei Limited Express

The Keisei Skyliner express train service travels to Nippori Station in a little under an hour. All seats are reserved. The inexpensive alternative to the Keisei Skyliner, the Keisei Limited Express is the cheapest way to get from the airport into Tokyo. It is a normal commuter train, which stops at several stations between the airport and Tokyo and can become crowded during rush hours. Seat reservations are not possible.

Tickets can be purchased at the Keisei service counter in the airport basement. At the ticket counter, ask for a ticket to "Nippori" station. After purchasing the ticket, take the escalator down to the Keisei train platform. Station announcements on the Skyliner will be made in English.

After arriving at Nippori Station, look for the Yamanote Line. The Yamanote Line is part of the Japan Railways (JR) system. Please go to the JR ticket machine area and purchase a ticket to the Ikebukuro Station. Above the ticket machine you will see an English map that lists the ticket price from Nippori to Ikebukuro. Go to the platform bound for Ikebukuro. While on the train, announcements will be in Japanese and English.

After arriving at Ikebukuro Station, you will need to look for the Tobu Tojo Line (signs will appear in bright blue). Again, above the ticket machine you will see the price (in English) for the ride from Ikebukuro to Wako-shi. The Express and Semi-Express trains both stop at Wako-shi station.

After arriving at Wako-shi Station, take the South exit (you will see ticket machines to your left side) and go up the stairs. After exiting the station, there are three options for getting to RIKEN.
