Seeking a few Research Scientist or Postdoctoral Researchers or Research Associates (W23198)
Laboratory
Hybrid Quantum Circuits Research Team,
RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing
(Laboratory head: Atsushi Noguchi)
Research Field
RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing (RQC) aims to study quantum information theory, develop techniques for quantum control and measurement, build quantum computing hardware and software, and explore novel quantum technologies. We promote the progress of quantum information science and contribute to society through the application of quantum technologies.
In superconducting circuits, the tunneling effect at Josephson junctions can be used to express various quantum functions such as qubits and parametric circuits. Such high-performance quantum systems combined with other quantum systems are called hybrid quantum systems. Our team aims to establish a quantum control technique that greatly surpasses existing performance by constructing high-lifetime quantum systems such as microwave resonators and trapped electrons, observing and controlling them with superconducting circuits, and then freeing quantum systems from their finite lifetimes by realizing quantum error correction codes using this technique.
