The RIKEN Center for Computational Science (R-CCS) is calling for young applicants interested in attending the International HPC Summer School 2023 which will be co-hosted with European, US, Canadian and Australian institutes.

From Japan, we plan to invite approximately 10 young researchers, including doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers, and engineers/researchers from companies.

Date	July 9-14, 2023
Eligibility	Young scientists, including graduate and PhD students, scientists and engineers affiliated with private companies, etc . Note: Approx. 10 successful applicants will be invited from Japan. Applicants must belong to universities whose head or the delegated person can issue a formal letter of request on behalf of applicants. The school is currently being organized as an in-person event (no remote participation) in order to create the best experience for all attendees. Selected participants are expected to abide by local COVID-19 rules and measures.

Events	Leading computational scientists and HPC technologists will offer instruction on a variety of topics, including: HPC and Big Data challenges in major scientific disciplines Shared-memory programming Distributed-memory programming GPU programming Performance analysis and optimization on modern CPUs and GPUs Software engineering Numerical libraries Big Data analytics Deep learning Scientific visualization Canadian, European, Japanese, Australian and U.S. HPC-infrastructures
Fees	R-CCS will cover school fees, meals, housing and round-trip airfares etc.
