RIKEN Open Day for the Nagoya and Sendai offices will be held on Saturday, August 3rd. There will be displays and presentations to introduce the research at both campuses, as well as science activities for children.
At Nagoya, which focuses mainly on robotics, visitors will be able to see the RIBA II (a robot for nursing care for the elderly). At Sendai, where researchers concentrate on photonics science, such as laser technology, children will have the opportunity to make a kaleidoscope.
The Nagoya office will be open from 10:00-16:00 (signing up for events closes at 15:30), and Sendai, from: 9:00-16:30, though entry will be stopped at 16:00. Come and have fun!
