On March 28, the RIKEN BSI Postdoctoral Fellow Association and Women in Science group will be holding a symposium to celebrate women in science in Japan.
Ten women working for both RIKEN and other organizations, in both research and administration, will give presentations on their science and on working as a scientist in Japan. Kristen Cardinal, Director of Outreach at the RIKEN Brain Science Institute, will give a special talk on women in science and society.
The event will be a great chance for students and postdocs interested in a scientific careers to interact and network with female role models in science, gain career tips and inspiration from the experts, get some tips to successfully navigate the academic career ladder, and receive advice on maintaining a good work-life balance.
There will also be a mentoring session and panel discussion.
