President Hiroshi Matsumoto
On April 1, RIKEN acquired a new status—moving from an independent administrative institution to a national research and development institute—and welcomed a new president, former Kyoto University President Hiroshi Matsumoto, who was appointed to succeed Ryoji Noyori as leader of the institute.
