Takao Hensch awarded Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon
On November 3, the Cabinet Office announced that Professor Takao Hensch, former Group Director at the RIKEN Brain Science Institute, and currently Director of the International Research Center for Neurointelligence at the University of Tokyo(WPI-IRCN) and Professor at the Harvard Center for Brain Science and Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, will receive the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon for his contributions to the promotion of academic exchanges and mutual understanding between Japan and the United States.
Professor Hensch made many research achievements during his time at the RIKEN Brain Science Institute and contributed to the development of the Institute and to the advancement of neuroscience through international collaborations.
