Naoto  Yokoya(D.Eng.)

We are studying geoinformatics to understand the current state of the Earth from multimodal spatio-temporal data such as satellite images, mobile data, and disaster data. In particular, we are working on intelligent data analysis based on image processing and machine learning to understand what is happening on the Earth in a timely manner from a large and diverse set of images obtained from visible, near-infrared, thermal infrared, and microwave based remote sensing. We are conducting research to support solutions to international social issues, such as disaster monitoring and environmental monitoring.
