Research Summary

The mission of "the Support Unit for Quality Management (QMU)" is to do the jobs for maintenance and management of project quality concerning the collection, preservation and distribution of biological resources, and support for their technologies.
Since June 2025, RIKEN BRC has been developing its own quality management system (QMS) specialized for operations of bioresource project, based on our 19 years of experience in implementing the ISO 9001:2015 international quality management standards as well as the concept of Total Quality Management (TQM). This system is implemented across all resources, allowing us to provide the world’s highest quality level bioresources that ensure the reproducibility of research results.
