TRIP Headquarters Fundamental Quantum Science Program (FQSP)

Director: Naoto Nagaosa (D.Sc.)

Naoto Nagaosa Director: Naoto Nagaosa (D.Sc.)

The forefront of quantum science and technology is rapidly expanding, but a deep understanding of its basic principles is still lacking. Therefore, the Fundamental Quantum Science Program focuses on four key areas—basic physics and chemistry, mathematics, quantum information, and nonequilibrium science—returning to the foundations of quantum science and advancing research from a mid- to long-term perspective.
As core measures, we not only promote research and human resource exchange through workshops, visitor programs, and seminars featuring top-class researchers but also foster collaboration and intellectual exchange.
To support these efforts, we build a flexible organizational structure with steady and hearty connections, not bound by traditional organizational forms. Ultimately, our goal is to create a world-class fundamental quantum science research center, form a hub for brain circulation, and foster human resources for fundamental quantum science research.
