Seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher or a Research Scientist (W23320)

Emergent Functional Polymers Research Team
RIKEN Center for Emergent Matter Science
(Laboratory head: Keisuke Tajima)

Research Field

The team works on the development of new organic polymer/molecular semiconducting materials and their application to organic electronic devices and functional thin films. Specifically, we seek the methodology and molecular design to control the precise structure in molecular- and nano-scale at our will and try to find breakthroughs to drastically enhance the performance of the materials. Targets of our research are not only the conventional organic solar cells and field-effect transistors, but also the new molecular design that draws the maximum potential in the electronic properties of the polymer thin films.

Job title and Job description

Job title

Postdoctoral Researcher or Research Scientist 1 position

Postdoctoral Researcher is defined as those with a doctoral degree of 5 years or less.
Research Scientist is defined as those with a doctoral degree more than 5 years.

*Job title will be decided based on applicant's ability, aptitude etc.

Job description

We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher or a research scientist with strong background in the related fields of the synthesis and characterizations of organic semiconducting materials. In addition to the good skill of organic synthesis, we seek those who has experience and/or interest in structure control in thin solid films and molecular design for this purpose.

The job description may be changed during the contract period or upon contract renewal to the extent described above.
