Two RIKEN researchers receive Inoue Prize for Science

RIKEN Brain Science Institute Deputy Director Atsushi Miyawaki and Yoshiki Sasai, Group Director at the Laboratory for Organogenesis and Neurogenesis at the RIKEN Center for Developmental Biology, were awarded the 28th Inoue Prize for Science by the Inoue Foundation for Science. Dr. Miyawaki was granted the price in recognition of his multidisciplinary research and development of bioimaging technologies, and Dr. Sasai for his research on molecular control and self-organization in development of the central nervous system."

This prize is awarded to researchers under the age of 50 who have made exceptional contributions to basic research in the natural sciences. The awards ceremony was held on February 3 at KKR Hotel Tokyo.
