The
RIKEN BioResource Center (BRC) will make available to the scientific community an upgraded version of its database of plant genetic resources, called SABRE2.
SABRE2 integrates plant resources from BRC as well as other Japanese research institutes that are part of the Ministry of Science (MEXT)'s National BioResource Project. This new database will enable researchers to search and compare crop plant genes and model plant genes. It will also provide crop researchers with resources and information on the model plant Arabidopsis.
SABRE2 is the first attempt to integrate genetic resource information from different plant species into one database.
