The eighth issue of QBiTs, the quarterly newsletter of the RIKEN Quantitative Biology Center was released in late July, and is available for downloading.
In addition to an interview with a space scientist, the issue features an introduction to ultra-thin "lab-on-chip" devices being developed at QBiC, a system for making tissues transparent to allow them to be to imaged more easily, experimental work to determine how a cell determines what is really important among all the environmental "noise" that surrounds it, and how wine is making contributions to the work of a QBiC lab!
QBiC is RIKEN's center dedicated to the study of the control principles that regulate complex biological systems. Download the newsletter from the QBiC website to find out more.
