[Obituary] Announcement of the Passing of Dr. Masaru Taniguchi
Dr. Masaru Taniguchi, RIKEN Honorary Scientist, passed away due to illness on April 8, 2024, at the age of 83.
He served as the founding Director of the RIKEN Center for Allergy and Immunology (RCAI) for 12 years after his appointment in 2001. With his foresight and leadership, he has not only devoted himself to the development of RCAI, but has also made outstanding contributions to the development of research activities at RIKEN as a whole.
We would like to express our deepest condolences and offer our sincere prayers for his great achievements as well as his pioneering research results in the field of immunology.
