New system to enhance RIKEN’s hybrid quantum-classical research platform

Fire Opal, a performance management platform for quantum computing developed by Q‑CTRL, a global leader in quantum infrastructure software, has been integrated into RIKEN’s IBM Quantum System Two. The system, which is deployed with the RIKEN Center for Computational Science in Kobe, is part of a project commissioned by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Organization (NEDO). The installation is intended to allow scientists to explore hybrid applications in areas such as quantum chemistry, machine learning, and computational engineering. For more information, see the article on Q-CTRL’s website.
