Research Summary

Takahiko Koike

We will conduct research from the perspective of human sociability on the process by which individuals independently generate a state of well-being, as well as the process by which they experience a state of well-being through belonging to society. Our goal is to elucidate the processes by which these states of well-being occur, how they interact with each other, and the neural basis underlying them. To achieve this, we will use methods such as (1) psychological experiments, (2) brain functional imaging, primarily using hyperscanning fMRI, and (3) mathematical modeling studies.
