RIKEN Center for Computational Science Quantum-HPC Hybrid Platform Operations Unit
Unit Leader: Shinichi Miura (Ph.D.)
Research Summary
Quantum computers differ in many aspects from existing supercomputers such as Fugaku. We are developing and operating a platform that enables these two types of computers to work together. In particular, we are developing the hardware/software environment for users of the quantum computer and the supercomputer to promote the common use of both. In addition, since the operation of a quantum computer requires different knowledge than the operation of a typical supercomputer, we are designing and operating the facilities.
