Research Summary

Fumi Kubo (Ph.D.)

Animals generate behaviors depending on sensory information that they receive from the outside world. Using zebrafish as a model, our lab studies the neural circuit mechanisms for how goal-directed behaviors are generated by ongoing and past sensory information. Taking advantage of the zebrafish system, we take exhaustive approaches and aim to understand the roles of genetically defined neuron types and their circuit connectivity within the entire brain.
