The Pioneering Research Institute（PRI）is committed to challenging research and development, focusing on the promotion of fundamental research and the development of new interdisciplinary research fields through collaboration, in order to create and pioneer unexplored research fields and contribute to breakthroughs in science and technology and the creation of new value.
PIs of Chief Scientist Laboratories, RIKEN Hakubi Research Teams and RIKEN ECL Research Teams / Units produce outstanding research results and contribute to international brain circulation. The PRI fosters talented young researchers to become the next generation of researchers and leaders with broad perspectives, and lays the foundation for future pioneers in new research fields.
