RIKEN SPring-8 Center Ultrafast Characterization and Analysis of Material Processing Team

Team Leader: Hidekazu Mimura (Ph.D.)

Research Summary

Hidekazu Mimura

Our team will be responsible for developing elemental technologies (X-ray optics and detectors, etc.) and methods for evaluating machining, deformation, and destruction process of various materials and devices in an ultrafast and nanometer resolution by using brilliant, high-energy X-rays from SPring-8. The team will then construct integrated evaluation systems and apply them to practical analyses in collaborating with a broad range of industrial and academic sectors, contributing development of advanced processing.
