RIKEN SPring-8 Center (RSC)

The primary mission of the RIKEN SPring-8 Center (RSC) is to maintain stable and reliable operation of a large synchrotron radiation facility, SPring-8 and an X-ray free electron laser facility, SACLA, and to provide brilliant X-rays for a broad range of researchers from universities, research institutes, and industries.
The RSC develops state-of-the-art technologies for the production and utilization of brilliant X-rays.In cooperation with inside and outside RIKEN, we will develop synchrotron radiation measurement and large-scale data analysis techniques, and consider and operate new user systems that meet user needs and strategic use that contributes to solving social issues.
