RIKEN SPring-8 Center Accelerator Development Strategy Research Group
Group Director: Toshiteru Kii (D.Sc.)
Research Summary
The electron accelerators and photon sources at SPring-8/SACLA are based on a variety of fundamental technologies. It is essential to control the "extraction", "acceleration" and "bending" of electrons at an extremely high level, but to ensure a high level of photon availability, a highly reliable, stable and energy-efficient system must also be established. The Accelerator Development Strategy Group will strategically promote the development of innovative technologies that can serve as breakthroughs to provide the world's most brilliant X-rays in the future, while balancing high-level beam control, reliability, stability and power consumption.
