RIKEN SPring-8 Center Laser Acceleration Development Team
Team Leader: Tomonao Hosokai (D.Sc.)
Research Summary
Laser Acceleration Development Team study the laser driven electron acceleration and its key technologies, aiming for the realization of compact, stable and reliable high-energy electron accelerators. We develop GeV-class multi-staged Laser Wake-Field Acceleration (LWFA) with plasma photonic devices formed by well-controlled plasmas, and also proceed application researches of high-energy and ultra-short electron beams from LWFA, such as laser-driven XFEL and ultra-fast electron imaging.
