RIKEN SPring-8 Center SR Imaging Instrumentation Team
Team Leader: Yoshiki Kohmura (D.Sc.)
Research Summary

SR imaging instrumentation team implements the common equipments for the use at undulator beamline BL29XUL at SPring8, so that a cutting edge of x-ray imaging techniques are developed further in the medical, biological and material fields.
Our group developed the X-ray lightsheet microscope for the first time and is trying to realize the 3D imaging of neural network inside the whole human brain. We are developing the crystalline X-ray optical devices, such as to find application of the novel X-ray translation effect inside deformed crystal which we discovered recently.
