研究概要
仁科加速器研究センターは世界有数の重イオン加速器施設です。2台の重イオンリニアックと5台のサイクロトロンを有しており、国内で唯一ウランイオンの加速を行っています。また電子加速器であるマイクロトロンとシンクロトロン蓄積リングも稼働しています。ここでは周辺環境の放射線レベルを許容できる範囲に保ち、実験者等の放射線被ばくを合理的に可能な限り低く抑えることが必要です。当室は施設の安全管理を担当し、必要な放射線管理システムの開発を行っています。またラジオアイソトープ実験棟では密封、非密封の放射性同位元素がさまざまな形態で取り扱われていますが、この安全管理も担当しています。
