研究概要
計算科学（第3の科学）とデータ科学（第4の科学）を融合した新しい第5の科学として、「予測科学」を打ち立てます。予測と制御は長きにわたって研究されてきましたが、大規模で複雑な現象の予測は難しい問題です。当研究室は、このような大規模で複雑な現実問題における予測と制御の科学を探ります。人類は、地球環境、資源、人口、医療、健康など、個人レベルからグローバルまで幅広く様々な困難に直面しています。「予測科学」は、人類の広範な英知をつなぐハブとなり、人類社会の持続的発展に有効な予測・制御に基づく科学的・客観的アプローチを探ります。
